Do various glass styles make a beer taste or smell any different? I have to admit that i actually do not like the standard pint type glasses that are so prevalent in bars. If you are into drinking in large volumes then these are the glasses for you. I much prefer to drink from a stemmed or mug type glass depending on the style of the drink. I think that by using the Belgian example of having specific glassware for each beer it enhances the experience for the drinker. Personally i would much rather drink a pint bottle of craft type ale using a stemmed glass having to top it up than pouring it fully into a pint glass. I realise this can sometimes impact the ease due to more sediment being at the bottom of the bottle, however this is a rare occurrence.
